“…and in him there is no darkness”
“We heard the true teaching from God. Now we tell it to you: God is light, and in him there is no darkness” (1 John 1:5)
We know from Bible Scriptures that God is pure LOVE. “...and in him, there is no darkness“. The Lord is not like we are. We can have emotions like self-pity, “Why me oh Lord?”. We can have emotions like pride, “I wish my rotten boss would just die and fall into hell!”. This is pride because I am thinking I am better than someone. Any sin that can enter a person’s mind, will and can enter in. That is because we are all rotten to the core of our being.
But it tells us in 1 John 1:5, “…in him there is no darkness”
In the Lord Jesus, there is no darkness. There is no wrath, anger, bitterness, or revenge. The Apostle John who knew Jesus personally said this,
“The Word became a man and lived among us. We saw his divine greatness—the greatness that belongs to the only Son of the Father. The Word was full of grace and truth” (John 1:14)
John said this man, “was full of grace and truth.” He was kind, benevolent, loving, caring, and always treated others with consideration and respect. He never talked down to people. He never threatened them.
“…God never changes like the shadows from those lights“
“Everything good comes from God. Every perfect gift is from him. These good gifts come down from the Father who made all the lights in the sky. But God never changes like the shadows from those lights. He is always the same. God decided to give us life through the true message he sent to us. He wanted us to be the most important of all that he created” (James 1:17-18)
When a person steps into the light of the sun, they cast a shadow. But when God steps into the sun, there is no shadow, because He is that sun. “…God never changes like the shadows from those lights. He is always the same.“
God is perfect LOVE. “God never changes“
“Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love” (1 John 4:8)
In this perfection of LOVE, “…there is no darkness.” NONE. NADA. ZERO.
Then why has the Protestant Christian church adopted the idea of the second coming of Jesus Christ as only the righteous Christians will be taken up into heaven?
Take a minute to think about this.
If a trumpet sounds up in the sky and only the “righteous” are taken up, and the “unrighteous” are “left behind”.
Think about what would be the consequences of such an event taking place?
What if two Christian pilots are in the cockpit of a jet airplane, and they are taken up into heaven. The airplane would be left alone to fall out of the sky and crash into the earth. The terror-filled passengers would die a horrible death. The plane could land on buildings and explode. What if one of those buildings were a schoolhouse? Innocent children could be burned alive from the jet fuel turning into a fiery inferno. Scenes similar to this could be occurring all across the earth.
What about when the trumpet sounded in California? Cars are traveling at a high rate of speed on the freeway when suddenly the Christian drivers are taken up into heaven. There are then massive pileups of automobiles into a carnage of wreckage and crushed human bodies. Scenes similar to this could be occurring all across the earth.
What if police officers are taken up in large numbers? Entire societies and nations could start to unravel and fall apart. Rioting and chaos could ensue across cities around the world. Panic could take place in world governments as they fear their enemies have unleashed an attack upon them.
If God is LOVE, why in the world would he allow such things to happen? All in the name of saving only the “righteous Christian ones”?
“Peter began to speak: “I really understand now that God does not consider some people to be better than others. He accepts anyone who worships him and does what is right. It is not important what nation they come from“ (Acts 10:34-35)
We can see that “…He accepts anyone who worships him and does what is right. It is not important what nation they come from” (Acts 10:35)
God treats and LOVES everyone the same. Every created human person as the crown of creation
“God decided to give us life through the true message he sent to us. He wanted us to be the most important of all that he created” (James 1:18)
The Christian thinking on the “Second Coming of Jesus Christ” is a misguided and false interpretation of the Bible Scriptures. It places the Lord Jesus in a mean, uncaring and calloused God
The human being who was divine was the most humble and loving person the world has ever seen. He comes to us in tenderness. He reaches out to us as a loving Father. He only wishes to heal our sicknesses and to make us whole. He has planted ALL of us here on this earth to be raised up into heaven and to be with Him.
Jesus and Zacchaeus! God’s LOVE is always looking at and through people into eternity
“Jesus was going through the city of Jericho. In Jericho there was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a wealthy, very important tax collector. He wanted to see who Jesus was. There were many others who wanted to see Jesus too. Zacchaeus was too short to see above the people. So he ran to a place where he knew Jesus would come. Then he climbed a sycamore tree so he could see him. When Jesus came to where Zacchaeus was, he looked up and saw him in the tree. Jesus said, “Zacchaeus, hurry! Come down! I must stay at your house today.“ Zacchaeus hurried and came down. He was happy to have Jesus in his house. Jesus said, “Today is the day for this family to be saved from sin. Yes, even this tax collector is one of God’s chosen people. The Son of Man came to find lost people and save them“ (Luke 19:1-6 9-10)
