What Is Junk Science?

“The expression junk science is used to describe scientific data, research, or analysis considered by the person using the phrase to be spurious or fraudulent.

The concept is often invoked in political and legal contexts where facts and scientific results have a great amount of weight in making a determination. It usually conveys a pejorative connotation that the research has been untowardly driven by political, ideological, financial, or otherwise unscientific motives.

In some contexts, junk science is counterposed to the “sound science” or “solid science” that favors one’s own point of view. This dichotomy has been particularly promoted by Steven Milloy and the Advancement of Sound Science Center and is somewhat different from pseudoscience and fringe science” (Wikipedia, “Junk Science”)

Spurious definition:  plausible but false

Fraudulent definition:  deceitful, based on an incorrect or misleading notion or information

The New Emerging Church will reject these mainline institutional church doctrines

A Look at some of the most grievous misconceptions of the Christian Religion

1.  The concept of the Papal Pope as Vicar (representative) of Christ on earth.  Why do millions of Catholic people seriously believe that Jesus Christ handed the keys of His Kingdom to the Apostle Peter?  And then they were deeded to the Pope of the Catholic church on earth?  Bible Scripture makes it very plain and clear that only the Lord Jesus sits upon the throne.  He alone is worthy.

And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book and to loosen its seals? And no one in Heaven, nor on the earth, nor under the earth, was able to open the book or to look at it. And I wept very much, because no one was found worthy to open and to read the book, nor to look at it. And one of the elders said to me, Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the book and to loose the seven seals of it”  (Revelation 5:2-5)

For there [is only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,”  (1 Timothy 2:5)

We can see “there is only one God“.  And He is the essence of heaven (LOVE).  Also, there is “[only] one Mediator between God and men,“.  This means God (LOVE) took on a human form.  That form is Jesus Christ (“mediator“) who is TRUTH and WISDOM incarnate) who formed a bridge of communication between Himself and created human beings.  There is no mention anywhere in Scripture where a Papal Pope is given control (a Vicar) of heavenly affairs on the earth.

2.  The concept of Jesus coming to earth to save all human beings from the Wrath of Father God.  Why do millions of Protestant people seriously believe this nonsense?  Have you not heard God is pure LOVE?.

And this is the message [the message of promise] which we have heard from Him and now are reporting to you: God is Light, and there is no darkness in Him at all [no, not in any way]”  (1 John 1:5 Amp)

3.  The concept of three Gods.  Which is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.  Have you ever noticed how confusing it is to pray to which God title in a time of need?  “Oh God send your Holy Ghost”.  “In the name of Jesus, we plead the blood to cover our sins to the Father”, etc, etc.

I tend to agree with the Muslim faith on this issue.  It is sanctimonious to pray to three Gods.  If you take time to examine it, we are in reality praying about only ourselves.  It is about our motivation and what we are asking for and finding the right channels on how to get it.

But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out]”  (Hebrews 11:6)

Scripture (Bible) makes it very clear that there is only one God.  No angel or man has ever seen, nor will ever see the true essence of the Father.  The essence of the Father took on a human form (Son) in which He can communicate and fellowship with His created beings (The Way).  The Holy Spirit is only a vehicle that opens our minds (our spirit) to see spiritual TRUTH to our reasoning and understanding relating to kingdom principles.

No man has ever seen God at any time; the only unique Son, or the only begotten God, Who is in the bosom [in the intimate presence] of the Father, He has declared Him [He has revealed Him and brought Him out where He can be seen; He has interpreted Him and He has made Him known]”.  (John 1:18 AMP)

No man has at any time [yet] seen God. But if we love one another, God abides (lives and remains) in us and His love (that love which is essentially His) is brought to completion (to its full maturity, runs its full course, is perfected) in us!”  (1 John 4:12 AMP)

4.  The concept of Justification by Faith Alone.  For the clergy and adherents of the Protestant church, this is known as the concept of “Sola Fide” (Latin: justification by faith alone).  Or grace + faith+nothing = salvation unto eternal life.

Upon reading the Bible in a natural and historical sense justification by faith alone seems like a reasonable conclusion.  However, if these same Scriptures are read from a higher spiritual mind we can plainly see they are in direct opposition to the revealed plan and purpose of God.

And yet the Christian clergy stubbornly and tenaciously clings to this these notions. And in turn, this concept is continuously fed to the laity generation after generation. How grievously saddened must be our beloved Lord be at such teachings in His church.

Sola Fide disregards the concept of being Born Again. Disregards the concept of The Law and The Prophets. Disregards the concept of Good Works.  But most importantly it disregards the EXAMPLE of JESUS CHRIST while He was on earth, and that is the concept of Regeneration of a born again believer.

That is because man’s regeneration is an image of the Lord’s glorification

The Lord provided an example to the people on earth, heaven and throughout the entire universe.  It was the plan of redemption.  He was born of the divine nature and born of human nature.  It was at the crossroad of human life.  He (we) had to overcome a sinful nature (character) and make it divine (suited to heavenly life). In doing so he fulfilled the law and of the prophets.

Don’t think that I have come to destroy the Law of Moses or the teaching of the prophets. I have come not to destroy their teachings but to give full meaning to them. I assure you that nothing will disappear from the law until heaven and earth are gone. The law will not lose even the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter until it has all been done. “A person should obey every command in the law, even one that does not seem important. Whoever refuses to obey any command and teaches others not to obey it will be the least important in God’s kingdom. But whoever obeys the law and teaches others to obey it will be great in God’s kingdom”  (Matthew 5:17-19)

The Lord took on a cloak of humility and the burden of sin. He overcame it daily in His life here on earth.  At the event called the transfiguration the divine nature and human nature were joined together to form one (Matthew 17:1-8). Having the two prophets present there symbolized that he had fulfilled the Law and the Prophets.

For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness]”.  (2 Corinthians 5:21 AMP)

This was the old rugged cross that the Lord carried faithfully His entire life until the very end.  The Lord Jesus overcame the world, the flesh and the devil (human sinful nature) until it was fully divine in nature and character.  Through His example, we are told we also must adopt the way of LOVE and do the same.

And He said to all, If any person wills to come after Me, let him deny himself [disown himself, forget, lose sight of himself and his own interests, refuse and give up himself] and take up his cross daily and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying also]. For whoever would preserve his life and save it will lose and destroy it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he will preserve and save it [from the penalty of eternal death].  (Luke 9:23-24)

This is the way of our redemption and salvation.  This is the path of our being born again.  This is the regeneration of the human spirit to make it suitable for an eternal life in heaven with God’s very big family!.  These are requirements and not suggestions from which the Lord taught.

The concept of Sola Fide deadens and slumbers the mind. It reduces the value and sacrifice of the Lord on The Cross!  But the most hideous part of this concept is the untruth contained within it.  That millions upon millions of Protestant Christians have been told they have a free pass into God’s eternal kingdom and that they are white as snow and free of sin.  These are all based on the false assumptions that Jesus took all the wrath of the Father that was meant for us upon Himself to enable us to have an entrance into heaven and eternal salvation.

These are only some of the most grievous issues the New Emerging Church will have to face.

  1. I’m sure you have seen the scriptures identifying the Spirit as God…one of the three persons of the godhead…of One God.

Of course, the Muslims also say that for God to come in the flesh—as Jesus did, according to Scripture—is total blasphemy. Is this your stance, too? But overall, this post has a lot to chew on and agree with!
