What is “Covenant Rest”? It is God’s Rest and It is Christ our Jubilee

What is “Covenant Rest”? It is God’s Rest and It is Christ our Jubilee Leslie Lyons 5.14.2017

Last year God spoke to me a thousand words of revelation as in a blink of the eye. The words “Covenant Rest”. This is the true heavenly meaning of Jubilee as it was revealed to me. May God be glorified.

Covenant Rest is Based on the Ten Commandments

It is found in Exodus Chapter 20. It is the sum and summation of all kingdom principles and truths. The two stone tablets on which the law was written was called “the tablets of the covenant”. The ark that contained the two stone tablets was called the “ark of the covenant” and the law was called “the covenant”. These are the regulations and requirements of man’s behavior toward God and toward his fellow humans on earth. Kingdom principles. This covenant is found throughout the world. Not only in this world, but it is the basic spiritual principle for all the residents in heaven.

Jesus (God taking on human form) Clarified This Covenant

He clarified the meaning of the two stones (ten WORDS) of the covenant into the two Great Commandments. “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets (Matthew 22:37-40 KJV).

A covenant is a partnership. An agreement between God and men. The covenant contains all things related to God, and the other of all things related to us (two stones). His blood is called the “blood of the covenant” (Matthew 26:28). Our WORD is composed of the “old covenant” and the “new covenant”.

The supreme characteristic of this covenant is LOVE. “If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love” (John 15:10 MKJV).

Covenant Rest Relating to The Lord’s Prayer

He instructed his followers “Therefore pray in this way: Our Father, who is in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven” (Matthew 6:10 MKJV). Supremely, we are to pray, and to pray only for God’s will to be done. “on earth as it is in Heaven”. Currently, there is a disengagement of this connection with the church on earth as an aggregate.

“Can two walk together unless they are agreed?” (Amos 3:3)

If God is denied His rightful place as the head of the church on earth, then we are not in agreement, there is no covenant rest. Heaven and earth are not connected. This is a result of the prevailing church doctrine called Sola Fide, “by faith alone”. Salvation is obtained by grace + faith + nothing. In effect, the two stones of the Decalogue covenant are made of no effect. Because one tablet is our relationship to God, and the second tablet is our responsibility.

If we say white as snow, white as snow. I can add nothing to the finished work of Christ, it induces a stupor of laziness. We rely on our priests and pastors to shoulder the load. We go to church to “fill up”. We become as the cup that is clean on the outside and not on the inside. We think we are observing the first tablet of love to God and the second, love to the neighbor, but in reality, SELF will still dominate. “And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” Which are the (commandments) tablets of the covenant (Luke 6:46 KJV)

I may speak in different languages, whether human or even of angels. But if I don’t have love, I am only a noisy bell or a ringing cymbal” (1 Corinthians 13:1 ERV). There is currently TRUTH (WORD) in the church, but it is not co-joined to LOVE (esse). As a result, there is no covenant rest to glorify our Lord.

Covenant Rest Relating to: “Marriage of the Lamb” Revelation Chapter 19:7,9

“Let us be glad and rejoice and we will give glory to Him. For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has prepared herself. (Rev 19:7). And he said to me, Write, Blessed are those who have been called to the marriage supper of the Lamb, And he said to me, These are the true sayings of God” (Rev 19:9).

The “marriage of the Lamb” (Rev 19:7), is the joining together of the church on earth and the church in heaven, where the relationship had been severed. The higher meaning is the right covenant relationship with the Lord in heaven and the church on the earth. The highest meaning is the “marriage” of GOOD (LOVE) and TRUTH (WORD). The sun and the moon. Just as Jesus was transfigured, “And He was transfigured before them. And His face shone as the sun, and His clothing was white as the light” (Matthew 17:2 MKJV). He was transfigured because LOVE (esse) of God had overcome His human nature, and was conjoined to the TRUTH (revealed WORD). The marriage of the lamb was complete.

The “marriage supper of the lamb” (Rev 19:9). In the future, those in the church who have embraced the TRUTH of doctrine that faith alone cannot save, and Jesus must take His rightful place as the head of the church as told in this book. They will follow the example of their Lord and have LOVE (the Cross) conjoined to TRUTH (the WORD). But to love the neighbor greater than ourselves through appropriating the power of the cross (LOVE) and the power of the blood (TRUTH). Following the example set by our Lord Jesus, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2 KJV).

When the church has come into this right relationship with Jesus as the true head of the church, which is His body. Then there is a celebration (“supper”). A blessed happiness, freedom and rejoicing that our God is finally, truly honored. Christ is our Jubilee. But in the highest order, the Church has been restored into a right relation to the Decalogue and to the residents of heaven. God is able to have
”Covenant Rest”.

“And Jehovah said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, in his erring; he is flesh. Yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years”.
(Genesis 6:3 MKJV). God will achieve His covenant rest as described in the Book of Revelation. Culminating with “And I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of Heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her Husband”. (Revelation 21:2 MKJV).
